About Embroidery
Embroidery is the art decorating fabric or other materials with threads of cotton or similar. It was developed thousands of years ago, and examples have been found in Ancient Egypt, China and Europe. With thousands of years to refine the art of embroidery, we have taken all of the best aspects from the different styles, and can embroider your shirts, jackets, bags, polar fleeces, headwear and hoodies with any design under the sun. If it's made of fabric, then we can probably put your design onto it in a myriad of different ways.
One of the great things about embroidery is the fact that there is no minimum run required - from one to 1,000, it's all the same. We take the same degree of care and apply the same amount of attention to single runs as we do with runs of thousands. Whether you want a design with hundreds of stitches, or tens of thousands, we can make it, all the way up to 45x50 cm for a single design.
Setup for embroidery involves the process of converting an image from either a pencil drawing or digital image to an embroidery file. Although the embroidery file does determine how the design looks, it's the expertise and skill of the embroiderers and digitizers that determines the quality of the design. Pricing for setups can vary greatly over the market, and an average price is about $10 per thousand stitches. However, working out the stitch count is time consuming, and simply lengthens the wait that you have for your finished product. To avoid this step, we charge a flat rate of $25 per design.
To give you the best quality, we use the best threads. German made Maderia cotton threads are some of the highest quality threads in the world, and they come in four different thicknesses; 12, 30, 40 and 60 den. The most common cotton type is 40 den, and this thickness is available in over 400 colours, and it even comes in metallic, ombre, multi-colour and astro-colours! If that's still not enough, there's polyester wool, flame retardant wool and extra brilliant colours to add even more flair to your designs.
