Screen Printing

Screen printing is an amazing process, in that the dyes are worked directly into the fabric. This means that longer lasting colours are formed, along with an amazing look.

Screen printing has a higher starting cost than other methods, due to the setup costs involved, as well as the purchase of the dyes. However, this is one of the most cost effictive techniques for projects requiring over 20 prints.

When it comes to colours, there are no restrictions or limitations. There are some difficulties with coverage of darker colours, but this can be easily resolved by printing a white onto the base, then printing black over the top of it again. This results in a full range of colours, and provides room for interesting effects, such as fades.

Screen printing can be done on almost any surface, not just limited to fabrics, but can even be done on plastics, metals and wood. This technique is very flexible, and is able to meet just about any requirement that your project has. However, screen printing is not suitable for surfaces which are not flat, such as seams or the front of caps.
